We are pleased to announce our distinguished guest speaker for the March 19th luncheon and professional forum will be:

CAPT Tim Oliver, USN (Ret)
Executive Director,
Naval Submarine League

providing us “Submarine Updates from Back East.”

CAPT Oliver graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering. Later in his career, he completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Marymount University in 2014.

CAPT Oliver served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years, retiring in 1995. His Navy career included tours on USS Sam Houston (SSBN 609) (Blue); USS Skate (SSN 578); USS Silversides (SSN 679); USS Parche (SSN 683); and command of USS Glenard P. Lipscomb (SSN 685).

After retiring from the Navy, he joined the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where he was senior associate in the Washington D.C. area from 1995 to 2009.

From 2010 to 2013, he was Vice President for Market Development at In-Depth Engineering, which is a small business provider of combat systems solutions; development, integration and test services, and waterfront support to the U.S. Navy.

Tim Oliver has been the Executive Director of the Naval Submarine League (NSL) since April 2013. NSL, which is based in Alexandria, VA, is a non-profit organization that promotes the importance of submarines to the national defense. During this period, he also has served as the President of the consulting and strategic planning firm TW Oliver Associates Inc.
